Like any good story, this one starts at K-Mart. In my early high school years I started working there to pay for gas and auto insurance. I'd been working there for a few weeks before Dissident started. As a senior member of the staff, I had the privilege of showing him the ropes - how to push carts, how to stock shelves, how to sleep in the stockroom without getting caught, etc.
It turned out that both of us went to the same high school, one year apart from each other. We recognized each other as dissidents, technophiles, and general goofballs and quickly became fast friends. We've more than doubled in age since then, but we are still the best of friends. It's amazing what you can find at K-Mart.
These days both of us have jobs that require us to travel quite a bit, Dissident more so than I. My trips are every few months for a few days, Dissident's are more to the tune of every month for a few weeks. Frequently, we chronicle our thoughts on the world and our travel experiences over at our sister site: www.recklessphilosophers.com. I had the idea to expand our writing of our travels into its own website. This is the glorious result. Please enjoy yourself and stop back often as new content is being continually added.
Cheers,
